Practice Breakdown: Richmond 2 – Wonderful Pistachios 400
I’m not sure how important the practice speeds will be this weekend but here’s the Breakdown. Two sessions were held Friday afternoon and qualifying will be later on tonight. The race this weekend is set to start around 7:30 pm Saturday night, which is the reason why I’m not sure how relevant the practice speeds will be. Be sure to check out Ryan’s Scouting Report for Richmond for tips how to make an informed pick this weekend.
Important Practice Notes: Landon Cassill spun out coming out of turn two in first practice. I’m not sure if he hit anything, though, because ESPN didn’t show it or comment on it.

AVERAGE PRACTICE SPEEDS:
Average practice speeds are calculated by taking the average speed of each driver in each practice and multiplying it by the number of laps ran. When you do this for each practice and add the totals together, and then divide by the total number of laps ran, you get an average of their practice speed, instead of just the one lap statistic you see when you look at practice sheets. The order that they are in is the overall average speeds rank of the two practice session combined.
