Phoenix International Speedway Track Changes

Phoenix
NOTE, it doesn't look like this anymore

This picture you see isn’t accurate anymore due to the changes at Phoenix International Speedway.

Here’s the changes done to the track layout:

1. The front stretch is widened by 10 feet.

2. Progressive banking is added to turns 1 and 2. Previously these turns were both 11 degrees. Now they are 11 degrees of banking at the top and 10 degrees at the bottom.

3. The dog leg on the back stretch is moved out 95 feet. It was previously pretty flat but now it’s progressively banked. The degrees of banking are 11 at the top and 10 at the bottom.

4. Turns 3 and 4 are also now progressively banked. The banking will be 8 degrees at the bottom and 9 at the top. Previously these turns were 9 degrees.
