Jimmie Johnson – Won the pole and started on the outside lane. Didn’t work well for him.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Car very solid and didn’t seem to wobble on the track. Rolls through the center really good. Very good on the bottom.
Jeff Gordon – Struggled early. Fell back to 17th. His car was pounding on the splitter. Not good on entry. Eventually though he rallied back.
Tony Stewart – Ignition problems 26 laps into the race. Before he had those problems he moved from 22nd to 17th. This is one of two tracks he’s never won at.
Ryan Newman – Struggled early. Fell out of the top ten in the first 30 laps.
Brad Keselowski – Passed Kyle Busch for the lead on lap #35. He was .3 quicker then the competition at the end of the first long run.
Jimmie Johnson – Car wasn’t consistent early.
Kasey Kahne – Had problems on lap #53. Had a loose tire. Was in 13th but dropped back to 36th.
