Watkins Glen CHEEZ-IT 355 Practice #1 Notes

Jimmie Johnson – Sat out practice early while the track was wet. Towards the end of practice he said that his car handling has improved.

Max Papis – Using a very neutral setup. Had to get a steering wheel adjustment early on which likely slowed his lap times. After that change he moved up 20 positions on the leader board. His car improved in practice but he said it was tight.

Aric Almirola – Followed Marcos Ambrose on the track trying to learn some road course racing tricks.

Brian Vickers – Shifter is loose but he said his car is OK

David Gilliland – Car feels good but it’s tight through the S’s.
