Car No Lap Caution Incident
135 #1 Caution flag for debris, after the longest green flag run to begin a race in RIR history.
78 137 Following the ensuing pit stops, Kurt Busch dropped out of the lead down to 6th position. Slow pit stops have been what’s keeping the #78 team from really making a charge in 2013.
30 207 #2 David Stremme got loose, but kept the #30 off the wall and out of harm’s way as he spun out.
48 218 After starting from the rear, Jimmie Johnson had to pit under green with a possible electrical issue. He was three laps down at the time, well outside the Top 30. He went to the garage, coming back out in 40th, 24 laps down.
24 224 Jeff Gordon also had to pit under green from the 15th position (loose right front tire). He emerged from the pits in 25th, two laps down, but was able to gain one lap back thanks to fresh tires.
24 267 #3 Caution flag for debris. The beneficiary was Jeff Gordon.
42 267 Juan Pablo Montoya (8th prior to pitting) had to restart at the tail end of the longest line (23rd position) for speeding on pit road. After failing to line up properly on the restart, Montoya had to serve a pass-through penalty under green, going one lap down.
48 344 #4 In the middle of the final round of green flag pit stops, the #48 of Jimmie Johnson was sparking with a right front flat, bringing out the caution flag before he could get to pit road.
344 Many of the frontrunners pitted just before the caution. Jeff Gordon got the free pass, while Bowyer, Harvick, Earnhardt, Jr, Keselowski, Burton, Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne had to take the wavearound.
15 393 #5 Clint Bowyer spins as he crosses the Start-Finish line, bringing out a caution.
