AJ Allmendinger – During his first run in qualifying trim he reported that his car was loose all the way through the corners and needs more forward drive off. “Trying to wreck man. Terrible. Sideways.” “It’s going to be a long, long 400 laps.”
Clint Bowyer – Said he was loose off during his first run in qualifying trim. “It spins out in the middle of the corner. Rolls out from underneath of you as soon as it gets into the stagger.” Later in practice about an hour through he said, “Big time loose in. Tight in the center. It’s OK off…… Really jumps over the right rear getting in. Tight across the center… More traction would be good. Can’t roll with any speed at all, have to keep it bound up with the brakes.” Later he said he needed help in the center. At the end of practice he was happy with his car.
Jimmie Johnson – During his first run in qualifying trim he said he was pretty loose off. Went to race trim about 20 minutes into practice.
