Drivers who didn’t practice: Menard, Dillon, Patrick, Mears, Bowyer, Biffle, Stenhouse, Edwards, Kenseth, Newman and Truex Jr.

Aric Almirola – Said his car isn’t the best and he’s a lacking a little bit of speed. Will be using his winning car from July in the Daytona 500.

Jimmie Johnson – Was the first driver to go out on the track and he practiced by himself. His first run was 5 laps. Practiced pitting in the second half of the session.

Matt Kenseth – Didn’t participate in final practice. Was happy with how his car drove in the first session.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – When he was out front he said his car had good speed. Said his car felt better this session.

Kevin Harvick – Said his engine temperature was about 4-5 degrees cooler this session.
