Dover FedEx 400 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Kevin Harvick – Sat out the first 15 minutes due to an inspection penalty from last week. In this session they only practiced in qualifying trim.

Martin Truex Jr. – Only focused on qualifying trim this practice session. He’s using his Charlotte chassis because he loves that car. He also drove this car at Kansas. During a qualifying run 30 minutes into the session he told his team he needs a little more help on throttle.

Greg Biffle – This week he’s using his Charlotte chassis because he was pleased with how its performed. Started in race trim. Said Roush’s latest iteration of the Gen6 car is easier to drive. He was happy with the speed of his car.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Following his first run he said, “I like the car and balance but had to turn the wheel way too much.” He focused on race trim early. His team adjusted his steering wheel. His team was happy with his lap times early. 55 minutes into practice he said his car was pretty good. At the end of his session he was happy with his car.
