Las Vegas Kobalt 400 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Las Vegas hasn’t been a good track for Ricky Stenhosue Jr. He’s raced here three-times and in every new event he’s finished worse. Last year his team missed the setup and he wasn’t even close to being competitive. When the checkered flag waved he finished three laps down in 29th. Also in the race it should be noted he had a 27th place average running position and earned the 28th best driver rating. In 2014 Stenhouse Jr. qualified in 6th but dropped back quickly. By lap 60 he was already back to 20th. In the event his average running position was 20th, he earned the 21st best driver rating and finished 27th. In 2013 he performed slightly better than his 18th place finish. He started 7th, had a 13th place average running position and earned the 14th best driver rating. I will note Stenhouse Jr. might have some sleeper value in this particular event. The new rules package will allow “slower teams” to perform better as the top teams are adjusting to things. Last week at Atlanta he ran extremely well throughout the afternoon having a 9.7 average running position and finishing 10th. (Yahoo B Driver)(DraftKings – $6,300)

Trevor Bayne – Despite being a west coast track and only having one race per year Trevor Bayne already has five races under his belt at Las Vegas. Las Vegas hasn’t been a bad track for Trevor Bayne by his standards. Over his five events he has a 20.0 average finish and a 23.0 average running position. If you pick you should expect a result in the twenties. Last year in his first “Sin City” start with Roush Fenway Racing he had his worst showing to date. In the event he wasn’t even remotely competitive. He started 35th, had a 30th place average running position and finished 28th. In 2014 he was a low twenties driver. He finished 20th, had a 22nd place average running position and earned the 22nd best driver rating. In 2013 he had a similar performance and had a 22nd place average running position and finished 23rd. In 2012 he started in 25th and came home with a 9th place finish. To this date that still is his best result at a 1.5 mile track. At Atlanta Trevor Bayne started 3rd and finished 22nd. (Yahoo B Driver)(DraftKings – $5,900)
