Richmond Race Notes
Joey Logano won the pole and selected to start in the low line. He led the first 14 laps.
On lap 14 Matt Kenseth passed Joey Logano for the lead by running the high line.

Denny Hamlin’s car was very good early in the race. Earlier in the week he tore his ACL.
Big Moment: On lap 38 Martin Truex Jr. was running in 14th but got into the wall and brought out the first caution. This incident dropped him down a few laps. On lap 71 he was four laps down.

Kyle Larson liked his car. His team was going for the “Hail Mary”. His team brought a new car, and used a new setup.

In the first quarter of the race Dale Earnhardt Jr. struggled rotating in the center of the turns.
On lap 80 Matt Kenseth had about a 4 second lead on Brad Keselowski.

On lap 98 the second caution came out for debris. During that caution Trevor Bayne who was in 26th got the free pass.
During the next restart Joey Logano passed Matt Kenseth for a few laps until the #20 retook the lead passing him on the high-side on lap 109.
Notable Moment: On lap 112 Michael Annett crashed on the back stretch and brought out the caution. His team then took the car to the garage. Aric Almirola got the free pass when this caution came out.
During pit stops for the Michael Annett caution Joey Logano choose not to pit. In just one lap following the restart he was back to 5th from the lead.
During pit stops for the Michael Annett caution Harvick’s team had a jack problem which cost him a lot of spots.
On lap 130 the Joe Gibbs Racing cars were running 1,2,3 and 4.
