Talladega Geico 500 NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Tony Stewart – His team worked on fine tuning the #14 for Ty Dillon. Tony Stewart climbed into the car about 40 minutes into practice. Stewart practiced exiting his car, and Ty Dillon practiced climb in.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Was happy with his car in practice #1. Planned on focusing running by himself but he led the pack about 10 minutes into practice. “I think you have some parts on the chassis to look at.” Ran the most laps.

Martin Truex Jr. – Worked on clearance issues. Had a problem with that in the first session. Using his Daytona 500 car. He was happy with his car and ended the session early. Thinks he has a shot at winning.

Brian Scott – Overall he felt good about his car.
