Charlotte Coca Cola 600 NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

NOTE: This practice session is more reflective of the track conditions in the second half of the Coca Cola

Martin Truex Jr. – Had good long run speed during his opening run. Best 15 lap average.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Wasn’t happy with his car. “This thing won’t turn very well and it’s kind of darty.” Later he said his ride quality isn’t bad but his car is plowing. Was leaking power steering fluid 40 minutes into practice. His team was struggling to find balance.

Kevin Harvick – His crew chief thought his lap times were good but thought they could be better.

Brian Scott – “A little free on exit and loose in. Need right rear grip center and exit.” Later he reported he was loose on entry into the corners. Later he said he was really tight center and on the splitter in turn 1.
