Pre-race Notes
Drivers who started in the rear of the field in backup cars: Matt Kenseth, Brian Scott, AJ Allmendinger, Jimmie Johnson and Martin Truex Jr.
Tony Stewart missed the race due to injury and Brian Vickers drove in his place.
The fuel window was 42-46 laps.
Race Notes
Chase Elliott started on the pole and led the first 3 laps.
On lap 4 Dale Earnhardt Jr. ducked below Chase Elliott and took the lead. He then led the next 14 laps.
Matt Kenseth started in the rear of the field and on lap 7 he was up 20 positions. Martin Truex Jr. and Jimmie Johnson who also started in the back were up 18 positions.
Running order on lap 10: 88,22,24,11,1,18,19,4,2,41 … 17,43,48,20,95,78,10,34,14,93
On lap 17 Austin Dillon didn’t like his car and lost the draft. He was in 39th at the time.
On lap 18 Kyle Busch passed Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the lead.
On lap 18 Kevin Harvick got extremely loose and nearly spun out. He was running in 2nd and it dropped him back to about 30th.
Big Moment: On lap 19 Chase Elliott spun into the infield and totaled the nose of his car. He was running in 8th at the time. Carl Edwards and Regan Smith both also spun to avoid contact with Elliott.
Following the Chase Elliott caution Denny Hamlin won the race off pit road and took the lead. He then led the next 34 laps.

Big Moment: On lap 57 a multi-car accident ensued when Brian Vickers spun. Both Carl Edwards and Trevor Bayne got damage to their right fronts. The damage to the front of the #19 looked pretty bad.
During the Vickers caused accident Jimmie Johnson got the lead off pit road by taking two tires.

On lap 78 Kyle Busch shuffled Jimmie Johnson out of the lead. The #48 car quickly dropped like a rock in the running order.

Brad Keselowski didn’t like his car in traffic. He was in 17th on lap 86.
Big Moment: On lap 92 Chris Buescher and Matt DiBenedetto crashed together. They were running back in the thirties at the time.
