Kentucky Quaker State 400 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
Paul Menard – Paul Menard is a solid sleeper option at Kentucky. I think he might be able to come home with a good result. From a fantasy NASCAR theory perspective I like him at tracks with new pavement. Michigan and Kansas are arguably his best tracks and the common attribute they now have to Kentucky is a newer surface. This season Paul Menard hasn’t been a strong performer at 1.5 mile tracks. Performance wise a good afternoon for him at those venues has been a mid-teens to high-teens finish. (Yahoo B Driver)

Aric Almirola – Aric Almirola might have some sleeper potential at Kentucky. Kansas is a great track for him and I think there might be a high level of correlation from that venue to Kentucky. During the early days of Kansas on the new surface he was a super sleeper and was an extremely solid dark horse option. This year at high-speed intermediate tracks Almirola hasn’t been a strong performer. A typical good afternoon for him at these venues has been a high-teens to low-twenties finsih. (Yahoo B Driver)

Greg Biffle – Greg Biffle has some dark horse fantasy value at Kentucky. He took part in testing here and I think the lower down force package is good news to him. When he was in his prime he was one of the top wheel man in NASCAR. The lower down force package is a move back towards that direction. This year at 1.5 mile tracks Biffle hasn’t had a great season. That said, he did show promise at Charlotte which is the last 1.5 track visited. There he won a segment of the Sprint Showdown and finished 11th in the Coca Cola 600. At Michigan when the lower down force package was used Biffle finished 19th. (Yahoo B Driver)
