New Hampshire Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings
Ryan Newman – New Hampshire is a good track for Ryan Newman and it’s arguably his best venue. At New Hampshire he has 3 wins, has finished in the top five a quarter of the time and in the top ten 61% percent of the time. Recently at New Hampshire he’s been a solid performer. Over the last 4 races he has an 11.0 average finish, the 11th best driver rating and a 15th place average running position. In 2015 he ran well in both races. Last fall he was a solid performer. He finished 10th, earned the 13th best driver rating, had a 14th place average running position and ran 82.3% percent of the laps inside the top fifteen. Last July Newman had a good car and used pit strategy to overcome his 26th place starting position and parlay it into an 11th place result. In September 2014 Newman probably had a top 11 car but pit strategy shuffled him back in the last third of the race. When the checkered flag waved he finished 18th. In July 2014 Newman finished 5th. That result doesn’t represent how he performed throughout the event. He was a driver who moved up from 13th to 5th over the final 25 laps when fuel mileage really entered the equation. Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson is capable of being very competitive at New Hampshire. He’s a solid shorter flat track driver and New Hampshire has been a relatively good track for him. This year at shorter flat tracks that correlate to success he has results of 12th (Phoenix) and 15th (Richmond). At New Hampshire Larson has a 13.3 average finish. 2015 was a down year for Larson across the board and it showed at New Hampshire. Last fall Larson didn’t have a good car. The number you need to know about him from that race is 17. He finished 17th, had a 17th place average running position and earned the 17th best driver rating. Last July he didn’t run well and got a pit penalty that was essentially a knockout blow. When the checkered flag waved he finished 31st. In 2014 Kyle Larson was fast in both races and was one of the best drivers. In September 2014 he had a great performance. He started 10th, had an 11th place average running position, earned the 8th best driver rating and finished 2nd. Late in the race his car was at its best and he was passing drivers by running the outside groove. Over the final 75 laps I would estimate he had a 3rd place average running position. In July 2014 Kyle Larson had a successful afternoon and finished 3rd. Also in the race he earned the 6th best driver rating, had an 11th place average running position and led 14 laps.
