New Hampshire Fantasy NASCAR Top Tier Elite Picks
Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski will be a good fantasy NASCAR pick to win the New Hampshire 301. He’s an elite performer here and has a ton of momentum entering the event. Over the last couple of races at New Hampshire Keselowski has firmly established himself as one of the best drivers. He’s a recent winner and currently has 9 straight results in the top 12. Over this nine race stretch he has the best driver rating, best average finish (5.6), best average running position (7.6) and has led the 3rd most laps (344). Last fall Keselowski had the 2nd best car but finished a misleading 12th. The reason for his asterisk mark result can be traced to when he was caught jumping a restart while battling for the lead with about 60 laps to go. If he didn’t get penalized there’s no doubt he was a lock for a top five. Last summer he once again had the second best car by my estimation. In the race he led the most laps (100), finished 2nd, earned the 2nd best driver rating and had a 3rd place average running position. His car was good over both short runs and long runs. In September 2014 he had a strong showing. He started 1st, finished 7th, had a 7th place average running position and led 78 laps. In that race he was better than his result. His team used poor pit strategy, he backed his car into the wall at one point and at the end he was at a tire disadvantage. In July 2014 he was dominant and raced his way to victory lane. In the race he had a 3rd place average running position, earned the best driver rating and led 138 laps. (Yahoo A Driver)

Kevin Harvick – Kevin Harvick will be a favorite to win at New Hampshire. It’s a great track for him and over the last three races he’s been a fantasy ace. Over those three events he has the best driver rating, best average running position (3.3), led the most laps (379) and has a misleading 9.0 average finish. Last fall he had the field covered but finished 21st after running out of gas while leading with 3 laps to go. Additionally in that race he led 72% percent of the laps (216), earned the best driver rating and had a 2nd place average running position. If he didn’t run out of gas nobody was going to beat him. Last July he was extremely strong. If it wasn’t for the untimely caution that greatly benefited Kyle Busch think he would’ve won. When the checkered flag waved he finished 3rd, earned the 3rd best driver rating and led 59 laps. Over long runs his car was the class of the field. In the corners he ran a little higher than others which allowed him to get good runs down the straight away. In September 2014 he had one of the best cars but was at a tire disadvantage at the end. In that race he earned the best driver rating, led the most laps (104), finished 3rd and earned the 3rd best driver rating. In July 2014 he had a top ten car but finished 30th after running out of gas when the race went to overtime. (Yahoo A Driver)
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch will be tough to beat at New Hampshire. He’s won here twice and finished in the top ten 50% percent of the time. Recently at New Hampshire he’s been impressive. Last fall Kyle Busch had a good car and was easily top ten strong but a flat tire on lap 160 while running in 9th sent him to the garage and led to his misleading 37th place result. In 4 of the 5 New Hampshire races prior to that he finished in the top two. Last summer Kyle Busch led nearly a third of the laps (96 laps) and raced his way to victory lane. I will note I don’t think he had the best car. He caught a lucky break when a favorable caution came out. Additionally in that race he earned the best driver rating and had a 3rd place average running position. In September 2014 he finished 8th which is amazing when you consider he was involved in an accident on lap 188 which damaged his car and dropped him from 7th back to the twenties. In July 2014 he started on the pole, finished 2nd, earned the 2nd best driver rating, had a 4th place average running position and led 62 laps. In 2013 he finished 2nd in both races. This year at shorter flat tracks Kyle Busch has been an elite performer. He’s scored the 3rd most points, has a 3.0 average finish and has had a result in the top five every race. (Yahoo A Driver)
