Darlington NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Jeff Gordon – Early in practice he reported there was some inconsistencies with the front end of his car. After some adjustments he said it felt like they added grip to the front. Late in practice he said he was tight at the beginning of a run and couldn’t stay on the throttle without losing his nose. Ran a lot of laps.

Aric Almirola – Said his car was a little tight. His team worked on building adjustbility for the race. Felt comfortable with his car and wanted more speed. Felt good about his car. During a later run he said he turned better but was lacking rear grip.
Paul Menard – Liked the balance of his car. He was 9th on the speed chart 45 minutes into practice.
Ryan Newman – Reported his balance was pretty neutral. They did some work to get his front splitter to work better for him. Did a long green flag run and appeared to have good speed.
