Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Chicagoland

Kevin Harvick – No driver had a more misleading result last year at Chicagoland than Kevin Harvick. He finished 42nd after having a cut tire while battling for the lead on lap 135 shortly after a restart. Prior to his problem he never ran lower than 3rd in the race. In our exclusive PROS Rankings we have him listed as having the 3rd best car.

Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon was top ten good last year at Chicagoland but finished 43rd. His poor result can be traced to him having a flat tire and getting into the wall hard on lap on lap 130 while he was running in 10th. Prior to his problem he ran as high as 2nd and really never left the top ten.

Martin Truex Jr. – Martin Truex Jr. had a great car last year at Chicagoland. In the first third of the race he looked top 3 good. After that he looked like about a 7th place driver. He would’ve finished right around that range but he was a driver who nosedived in the running order following the late caution.
