Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – New Hampshire
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott should have a strong showing at New Hampshire. In July he ran extremely well and easily had top ten potential but his race wasn’t incident free. With 28 laps to go while he was running in 10th he got into the wall hard and heavily damaged his car. Up to that point in the race I would estimate his average running position was around 7th. This year in his incident free races at shorter flag tracks he’s run well. He finished 8th at Phoenix and 12th at Richmond in the spring.
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney should run well at New Hampshire. He’s shown speed in both of his New Hampshire races despite what his results show. This July he ran well and capitalized with a good car. When the race reached its conclusion he finished 11th and had a 13th place average running position. In summer 2015 in a pre-rookie start he finished 23rd. Its important to note that’s a misleading finish and he was better than his result. Performance wise it looked like he had low-teens to mid-teens potential. On lap 130 while he was running in 7th he came to pit road for a loose wheel. As he was leaving he incurred a speeding penalty for being too fast entering.

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman is a solid dark horse fantasy option at New Hampshire. In July he ran extremely well here in the #88. In the race he started in 20th and slowly worked his way towards the front. Unfortunately his race wasn’t incident free and his 26th place finish camouflages just how well he ran. Performance wise he had top potential but wrecked with 28 laps to go while running in 8th. On Sunday I think it will be hard for him to repeat that performance because he ran so well. I’ll write down his likely finish range to be around the mid-teens.
