Charlotte Fantasy NASCAR Best Of The Rest / Notables
Jamie McMurray – Jamie McMurray was booted from the Chase at Dover because of an engine failure but don’t overlook him. In the seven races prior to his Dover engine failure he had a 10.8 average finish. The main attribute I like about McMurray is his level of performance in recent races at similar tracks. In the last four races at high-speed intermediate tracks Jamie McMurray has finished between 7th and 11th. At Charlotte since 2014 he has an 11.6 average finish and a 15.2 average running position. This spring he finished 19th. Last fall he finished 12th. In spring 2015 he once again finished 19th. In 2014 he swept the top five with results of 3rd and 5th.

Ryan Blaney – I think Ryan Blaney has solid sleeper value at Charlotte. In the last two races at high-speed intermediate tracks he’s finished 4th. I’m hoping that’s a sign his team has turned the corner on this track type. This spring at Charlotte he didn’t have a great race and finished 20th. Last fall he ran better and finished 14th.
