Casey Mears started in the rear of the field for a rear gear change.

Martin Truex Jr. who won the pole selected the top line. He led the opening 24 laps until the first caution came out.

9 laps into the race Martin Truex Jr. had a 1.5 second lead and had the fastest car on the track.

On lap 14 Kevin Harvick was up 10 positions from where he started. (26th to 16th)

At the time of the first caution on lap 23 Martin Truex Jr. had over a 4 second lead. Following his pit stop he came out 4th.

Matt Kenseth really liked his car during his first pit stop.

During the first caution Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Regan Smith got speeding penalties.

During the first caution Kasey Kahne pitted twice which dropped him in the running order.

Big Moment: On lap 32 NASCAR called Jamie McMurray to pit road for unapproved adjustments. He was running in 18th prior to pitting. This problem dropped him two laps down. He never recovered from this problem.

Kyle Larson had a great car 40 laps into the race. He was running the high-line and moving up through the pack.

On lap 56 the caution came out after Matt DiBenedetto brushed up against the wall. During this caution Michael Annett got back on the lead lap. At this time Cole Whitt’s car went to the garage area.

During the DiBenedetto caution Hamlin came in 9th but left 19th. He had a slow pit stop.

On lap 64 Greg Biffle pancaked his car into the wall. He then came down pit road. Prior to his problem he was in 24th.

Notable Moment: On lap 70 Trevor Bayne had a flat tire and limped around the track. It led to him making a trip down pit road and going two laps down. Prior to his problem he was running in the low twenties.

Notable Moment: On lap 83 Carl Edwards missed the entrance to pit road. He had a flat tire. Prior to brushing the wall he was running in 7th. This dropped him two laps down.

Notable Moment: On lap 103 Paul Menard got into the wall and brought out the caution. He was running in 20th at the time. During this caution Danica Patrick got the free pass.

During the Paul Menard caution Denny Hamlin got a speeding penalty and Kevin Harvick had a slow pit stop that dropped him from 2nd to 8th.

During the Menard caution the #48 team pitted a second time to make more adjustments.

Chase Elliott brushed up against the wall around lap 120. He was running in 10th and it dropped him to 19th.
