Kansas NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Kurt Busch – Spun at the very end of practice and damaged his front splitter. Had a flat tire. His spin happened on lap 28 of a long run. He might be going to a backup car. Was fast this practice session. Liked his car at the end of runs. Started with a 30 lap run. Ran the most laps.
Chase Elliott – Worked on being good over long runs. Had very good speed. Following a run 35 minutes into practice his team said, “That was a good run.”

Matt Kenseth – Looked very good. His car was very fast. Ended the session at the top of the speed chart.
Austin Dillon – Worked on getting better over long runs. His team liked his pace. Towards the end his crew chief said, “We’ve got something really good to work with here.” Dillon said he needed a little more grip.
