Homestead Fantasy NASCAR “The Low Tier”
Chris Buescher – Among the “Low Tier” drivers Chris Buescher doesn’t look like a bad option. Over the last three races at 1.5 mile tracks he has a 19.3 average finish. In the last two races at tracks of this length he’s finished 21st. From a performance perspective I think he might be able to get another low twenties finish. In the Sprint Cup series Buescher has no starts under his belt at Homestead.
Michael McDowell – Michael McDowell isn’t a bad option among the “Low Tier” drivers at Homestead. His track record is horrendous (37.3 average finish) but I would urge you to focus on his recent results at 1.5 mile tracks. In the last three races at tracks of this length he has a 19.6 average finish. From a performance perspective I think he’ll likely be low to mid-twenties good. Last year at Homestead he finished 33rd. In 2014 he had his best Homestead result finishing 21st but don’t overlook his 33rd place average running position. His first four Homestead results were finishes of 41st, 43rd, 43rd and 43rd. On Sunday it should be noted McDowell will be driving the #59. Speed wise it hasn’t looked to be a problem for him. His pit crew might be worse though.

Brian Scott – At Homestead in Brian Scott’s last race he has a high-twenties to low-thirties fantasy value. This year at 1.5 mile tracks he’s almost always finished within that range and I don’t see why it won’t be the case again. In the last two races at 1.5 mile tracks he’s finished 27th and 28th. At Homestead Scott has one start under his belt. In 2014 he started 30th and finished 28th. His average running position that afternoon was 33rd.
