Kansas NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Erik Jones – 42 minutes into practice while he was 3rd on the speed chart he spun into the grass coming off turn 4. His team didn’t get any real notable damage from the incident.

Michael McDowell – Had massive smoke coming from his car right at the end of practice because his engine blew up. 30 minutes into practice he said he has really good feel but is free.

Brad Keselowski – Has an interim crew chief again after a failed penalty appeal earlier in the week.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – He will lose his pit stall selection after failing inspection three times last week. Showed some good speed this session.
