Dover Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
Daniel Suarez – Daniel Suarez has some sleeper value. Dover can play out “goofy” and in those events Suarez comes home with good finishes. On Sunday I think Suarez has a good chance to be a mid-teens to high-teens driver. I think he’s shown improvement as the season has progressed so that’s good news if your looking to pick him. In NASCAR’s top series Suarez has obviously never raced at Dover. In the Xfinity Series last year he finished 9th in the spring and won in the fall. (Yahoo C Driver)
Trevor Bayne – Trevor Bayne has dark horse fantasy value at Dover. He has a poor track record but this year the #6 team is really clicking and is performing better on a weekly basis so hopefully that trend will continue. Realistically I would look for him to be around mid-teens good to high-teens good. Last fall Bayne finished 20th and had a 23rd place average running position. In spring 2016 Bayne dodged the carnage and came home with a 10th place finish. If attrition didn’t enter the equation though I think he would’ve been high-teens to low-twenties good. In addition to finishing 10th he earned the 20th best driver rating and had a 22nd place average running position. In 2015 he had major trouble in both races and came home with results of 31st and 43rd. (Yahoo B Driver)

Paul Menard – Paul Menard has had some good runs at Dover in the past. Since 2014 his 15.3 average finish ranks as the 13th best in the series. In the spring Dover race for whatever reason he’s been really successful in recent seasons. In the last three spring races he’s finished between 8th and 11th. Last fall there was nothing special about his performance and he was a low-twenties driver. He finished 22nd and had a 21st place average running position. In spring 2016 he didn’t have a great car but he dodged the carnage and came home with an 11th place finish. Performance wise if attrition didn’t enter the equation he was likely about 20th place good. His average running position last spring was 21st. In fall 2015 when he was up for Chase elimination he crumbled like a cookie under the pressure and finished 25th. In June 2015 he had a quality performance. He earned the 7th best driver rating, finished 8th and had an 11th place average running position. (Yahoo B Driver)
