Fantasy NASCAR Low Tier – Michigan
Darrell Wallace – Darrell Wallace will be behind the wheel of the #43 at Michigan. Hopefully he learned some lesson’s at Pocono because pit road was pretty ugly for him. When Aric Almirola was behind the wheel of the 43 at intermediate tracks this year they were typically high-teens to low-twenties good. At Michigan I would look for Wallace to likely be low-twenties to mid-twenties good. At Michigan in 4 of the last 5 races the #43 car has finished between 20th and 26th. (Yahoo C Driver)
Danica Patrick – At Michigan I would write Danica Patrick down for a high-teens to a mid-twenties finish. In her career at MIS minus her first career start she’s finished between 16th and 25th every race. Last year at Michigan there was nothing about her performances to brag about. Last August she finished 23rd and had a 24th place average running position. In spring 2016 she was a solid low twenties driver throughout the event. When the race reached its conclusion she finished 21st and had a 24th place average running position. In August 2015 when the “Highest Down Force Package” was used she finished 25th. In the three MIS races prior to that she had results of 16th, 17th and 18th. (Yahoo B Driver)

David Ragan – Over the last five Michigan races David Ragan has a 25.6 average finish and a 26.0 average running position. On Sunday I think it’s safe to write him down for a mid-twenties finish. Performance wise it’s how his team stacks up against the competition. This year over the six combined races at high-speed intermediate tracks David Ragan has a 25.2 average finish. (Yahoo C Driver)
Landon Cassill – I view Michigan as a “Pure intermediate track.” By saying that I mean it really shows how teams intermediate track programs really stack up against each other. Attrition is often low at Michigan and that’s somewhat bad news for drivers like Cassill. Performance wise I think a mid-twenties finish at best should be expected. At Michigan Cassill has been really bad having 8 results of 25th or worse. Last summer he had major suspension issues and finished 39th. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a phony problem to help his teammate Chris Buescher. In spring 2015 he tied his best recent result and finished 25th. In the five races prior to that he finished 29th or worse. (Yahoo C Driver)
