Daytona NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Fords – 5 minutes into practice the Ford drivers all worked together. It’s said their pack was the fastest of the three manufacturers.

Joe Gibbs Racing – Midway thru practice they practiced along with Martin Truex Jr. in a draft.

Hendrick Motorsports – 5 minutes into practice they were all working together along with some RCR drivers. Jimmie Johnson was even practicing in this pack. It should be noted Kahne was missing from this. It’s said their draft was the slowest of the three.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Midway thru practice he said his car was good off the truck but he wants a bigger pack to draft in. Austin Dillon liked his speed.

Kurt Busch – Using a car that finished 6th at Talladega. Said his car feels pretty stable.
