Drivers parked for the first 30 minutes because of inspection issues last week: Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Erik Jones and Martin Truex Jr.
Drivers parked for the first 15 minutes because of inspection issues last week : Brad Keselowski, David Ragan, Kurt Busch, Darrell Wallace, Cole Whitt and Ryan Sieg.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Said his car wasn’t driving very good 50 minutes into practice. Never really seemed to like it. Ran the most laps.

Ryan Blaney – Very happy with his car in race trim and qualifying trim.
Denny Hamlin – Said his car was pretty good especially over long runs in practice #1.
Ryan Newman – Lost an oil pump belt in practice #1. Changed his engine between sessions. Said he’s been struggling and the tires feel so hard. During his first run 30 minutes into practice he said he was loose while was 13th on the speed chart. An hour into practice he said, “The entry is more stable, the best that it’s been.”
Joey Logano – Following his opening run he said he was a little snug. He was 7th on the speed chart 10 minutes in.
Chris Buescher – 10 minutes into practice he said, “Entry and center freer, still need to be freer on throttle.” Changes made 40 minutes into practice got his car better. At that time while he was 20th on the speed chart he said he was freer into turn 3 but it felt less predictable.
