Kentucky NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Ty Dillon – Following his opening 3 lap run which had him 22nd on the speed chart he said, “Really loose on entry to three and into one, leaving me tight off the corners.” Like many other RCR drivers (he’s affiliated) he was way down on the speed chart (28th) 90 minutes in and only completed 12 laps. He then said, “A lot better, tighter on entry, looser on exit.” In the closing minutes he said, “Definitely heading in the right direction. Exit is real real right.”
Jamie McMurray – Following his opening run, which was 4 laps he said, “The entry wasn’t bad but I couldn’t hold it down on exit.” Jumped to the top of the speed chart about an hour into practice. Even after setting the fastest time he wanted his front to be better turning into 1. Ended the session at the top of the speed chart.
