Fantasy NASCAR Low Tier – Bristol
Matt DiBenedetto – If you’re looking for a low tier driver who has potential than consider Matt DiBenedetto. In spring 2016 he finished a career best 6th. The attrition rate was sky high that event but let’s give him credit for not wrecking. In the last two Bristol races he’s finished 17th and 19th. Overall in 4 of his 5 races he’s finished 21st or better. (Yahoo C Driver)
Danica Patrick – In six of Danica Patrick’s ten Bristol starts she’s finished between 26th and 29th. This spring she didn’t run well and was likely a mid-twenties driver but she was collected in a wreck that led to his 36th place finish. Last summer she finished slightly better than her typical finish range and crossed the finish line in 22nd. Additionally in the race she had a 30th place average running position. In the two Bristol races prior to that she had back to back 27th’s. In neither of those events did she run well. In spring 2015 she had her best Bristol result and finished 9th. David Ragan – In three of the last six Bristol races David Ragan has finished between 21st and 23rd. In the other three he’s finished 39th or worse. In the last two he’s finished in the low-twenties. This spring he finished 23rd and had a 25th place average running position. In summer 2016 he finished 21st. In the three races prior to that he finished 39th or worse. (Yahoo C Driver)
Michael McDowell – Over the last six Bristol races Michael McDowell has a 24.2 average finish. If you pick him you can likely expect a result around that range. In 4 of the last 6 Bristol races he’s finished within a deviation of 5 from his average result. This spring at Bristol he finished 26th. Last summer he finished 19th. (Yahoo C Driver)
Landon Cassill – A good day for Landon Cassill at Bristol is a low-twenties finish. In 5 of the last 10 Bristol races he’s finished between 20th and 24th. His other five finishes over this stretch are results of 29th or worse. This spring he didn’t run that bad but was involved in an accident With Danica Patrick around lap 325 that led to his 32nd place finish. Prior to the wreck he didn’t run bad and looked like a low-twenties performer. His average running position was 26th. In the two Bristol races prior to that he had results of 20th and 22nd.
