Drivers parked for the first 15 minutes: McMurray, Kahne, Bowyer, Elliott, Buescher, Allmendinger, Johnson and Truex.
Erik Jones – Likes his car over long runs. Said his car felt good and his balance was close to where he wanted it. Thinks the 20 and 18 are the two best cars.
Matt Kenseth – Has a fast car and stayed in race trim the entire session. Said his car was a lot better this practice. Worked to get a good balance that was fast. Started with a 19 lap run that put him 1st on the speed chart. Erik Jones thinks he has one of the best cars.

Kurt Busch – Said his car felt sideways everywhere. Wasn’t happy with his car 30 minutes into practice. 45 minutes into practice he was 22nd after completing 27 laps. His car was loose.
Denny Hamlin – Said his car felt pretty good. Happy with his car. Said both lines were coming in (top and bottom). Thinks the track will transition as the race goes on. Started in race trim and made a long run (34 laps).
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Has a good car. Did a 30 lap run to start the session (5th) and said his car felt good. After that he went to qualifying trim.
