It’s throwback week in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, as teams will travel to Darlington Raceway for Sunday night’s Bojangles Southern 500. So get ready to see some old school paint schemes and some good night racing this Labor Day weekend at “The Track Too Tough To Tame.” Darlington has two very distinct corners and there’s really no place like it; this 1.366-mile race track races like a typical intermediate speedway but has some characteristics of a short track, too. One thing to keep an eye on this weekend is who wins the pole, as the driver starting P1 in the last three Southern 500s has led at least 196 laps in each. Two of those times it was Kevin Harvick.
