Darlington NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Ryan Blaney – Started the session in race trim and had good speed. Early in practice among drivers in that setup he was one of the quickest. Said his car was pretty good.

Kyle Larson – Had a 30 minute penalty and got slightly into the wall (nothing to worry about). Said his car has been good.

Trevor Bayne – Started the session in qualifying trim. A little over 10 minutes into practice he was 13th. Got into the wall hard 70 minutes into practice (nothing to worry about). Feels good about his car. Said it’s overall been good.

Aric Almirola – Early in practice he said his entry was good, he was tight in the center and he builds snappy loose thru a run. At the end of practice his car was said to be very loose. He seemed to have about mid-pack speed.

Ryan Newman – Started in race trim and had good speed. 20 minutes into practice after completing 19 laps he was 12th on the speed chart. It was said his team was fine tuning. After that he went to qualifying trim.
