The Low Tier – Chicagoland
Michael McDowell – Michael McDowell has been dreadful at Chicagoland. His average finish is 40.2 over his six combined starts. I wouldn’t read into his track history because he’s in a more competitive situation now. This year at high-speed intermediate tracks he hasn’t been a bad performer and I would say he’s typically about low-twenties good. Over the last seven races at high-speed intermediate tracks he has a 20.9 average finish. (Yahoo C Driver)
David Ragan – At Chicagoland look for David Ragan to be a mid-twenties to about a 30th place driver. This year at high-speed intermediate tracks in every race but one he’s finished between 23rd and 31st. At Chicagoland Ragan hasn’t had much success having finished 22nd or worse in 4 of the last 5 races. Last year he was really bad. He finished 35th and had a 33rd place average running position. Matt DiBenedetto – At Chicagoland I would look for DiBenedetto to be a mid to high-twenties driver. In the last three races on this track type he’s finished between 25th and 28th. In four of the last five races heading into Chicagoland he’s finished between 26th and 28th. Last year he finished 30th. (Yahoo C Driver)
Landon Cassill – Over the last six Chicagoland races Landon Cassill has finished between 27th and 30th. Since it’s such a long running trend I don’t see why it shouldn’t be the case again. Last year he finished 29th. His four prior results were 27th, 28th, 29th and 29th. This year at high-speed intermediate tracks he’s typically been about a mid to high-twenties driver.
