Kevin Harvick who started on the pole led the opening lap. On lap #2 Kyle Busch who started in second passed him for the lead with a pass in the outside groove and then led the next 22 laps.

Big Moment: On lap 20 Jeffrey Earnhardt’s car was leaking oil and it caused a wreck. At that time Chase Elliott’s car also blew up and Brad Keselowski plowed right into the back of him. Also in this incident Erik Jones got some nose damage from a part that came off Jeffrey Earnhardt’s car. This dropped him to the back as his team repaired his car.

  • During a post-wreck interview Keselowski said his car was really good and he thought he had a chance to win.
  • Joey Logano was blocked in his pit stall during this caution.
  • Jamie McMurray who was in 8th was caught speeding.

Notable Moment: On lap 29 AJ Allmendinger made an unexpected pit stop for a flat tire.

Notable Moment: On lap 29 Ty Dillon’s car was smoking. He pitted and it dropped him a lap down.

Notable Moment: During green flag pit stops on lap 67 Denny Hamlin was caught speeding on pit road.

Kyle Busch’s car was very good running the bottom groove. With 13 laps to go in Stage #1 he passed Martin Truex Jr. for the lead. He then led the remainder of the Stage.

During the Stage #1 caution Harvick got the lead off pit road and Kyle Busch who won the Stage was back to 5th.

On lap 110 McMurray was back up to 11th. Earlier in the race he got a speeding penalty. He liked his car.

Notable Moment: While running in the top five on lap 124 Kevin Harvick made an unexpected pit stop for a tire issue.

Notable Moment: On lap 131 Matt DiBenedetto got into the wall and brought out the caution. Kevin Harvick got the free pass at this time. When the caution came out David Ragan was on pit road. This dropped him two laps down.
