Talladega NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

NOTE: In Happy Hour more than half the field was penalized for a duration of the time and it was really nothing more than single file car runs.

Notable Drivers who didn’t practice – Martin Truex Jr.,Larson, Blaney, Hamlin, Clint Bowyer, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Erik Jones, AJ Allmendinger, Matt DiBenedetto, Ryan Newman and Aric Almirola

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Didn’t practice. Likes his car and feels like it’s fast.

Kasey Kahne – 40 minutes into practice he radioed his team and said, “It felt really good.” Ended the session at the top of the speed chart.

Brad Keselowski – Wanted to practice in the draft but since there wasn’t other cars to work with he ran by himself. On Sunday he’ll be making his 300th start. Many notable drivers have won that milestone race.

Kurt Busch – Practiced by himself and had one of the fastest cars.
