The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series rolls into Kansas Speedway this weekend for the Hollywood Casino 400, and there’s a lot on the line for many teams. Currently, the Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth are on the outside looking in when it comes to advancing to the next round of the playoffs, and they have just this race to try and pass the drivers ahead of them. Both are within 10 points of both Ryan Blaney and Jimmie Johnson, and it’s likely going to be those four drivers fighting for the final two spots. Of course, a wreck or mechanical failure by any of the playoff contenders could really shake things up. Kansas is a 1.5-mile cookie cutter racetrack, though, and wrecks aren’t really a staple of the races here.
