Phoenix NASCAR Practice #2 Notes
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Will change tires before the race and will start in the rear of the field. In leagues such as DraftKings he’ll be scored from his 27th place qualifying position. Spun 15 minutes into practice coming off turn #1 and didn’t hit anything. A change made 40 minutes into practice while he was 15th made his car better on entry.
Ty Dillon – He’s on “baby watch” this weekend and Daniel Hemric will serve as a relief driver if needed. Hemric started the session driving the #13. Following Dillon’s first run he said he’s loose in and needs more stability. 35 minutes into practice he said, “Those changes definitely helped. I’m a little bit snug in the center now.” 45 minutes into practice he said, “Still tight in the middle and lacking some drive off.” Following his final run he said, “Those changes definitely helped. I need more stability on entry and exit in the rear.”
Kurt Busch – His team was said to slowly be making improvements.

Clint Bowyer – Showed some good speed. Late in practice he said, “We are a hell of a lot better today than we were yesterday. That’s for damn sure.” At the time of that comment he was 8th.
Brad Keselowski – Wasn’t that happy with his car. Didn’t like his car in turn 2. Only made short runs. His car was way too free.
