Race six of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season is at Martinsville Speedway, a half-mile flat track in Virginia with plenty of history. Being in the inside lane on restarts is one of the most important keys to success here at “The Paperclip,” and we saw just how important it was last year when drivers were deliberately slowing down on pit road in order to get a certain spot in the running order. One good thing about this weekend is that there’s no risk of cars not making it onto the track for qualifying; instead, NASCAR will be doing inspections after qualifying is completed, and any cars that do not pass will have to start from the rear of the field on Sunday.
