Las Vegas NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Erik Jones – Ten minutes into practice while he was 1st his crew chief said, “You’re doing a good job…gave a little bit up that lap.” Kyle Larson’s crew chief thought Jones had the best car 15 minutes into practice. In an interview he said his car is pretty good. Thinks his car can be a little better. His average speed ranked as the 8th best.

Kevin Harvick – Using the same setup he used in March. Said his car felt pretty good in practice #1. Did fine tuning this session. Had really good speed. His average speed ranked as the 4th best.

Kyle Busch – Had a very fast car this practice session. Ten minutes into practice he said, “Tight landing, compression, tight throttle up, tight.”

Martin Truex Jr. – Had great speed. Over his opening run on lap #10 he was about 1 MPH quicker than Kyle Busch. His average speed ranked as the 2nd best.

Aric Almirola – While he was 12th near the end of practice he said, “Traffic was probably making the lap times worse than they are. Good job, guys.”
