Kansas NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Kevin Harvick – Joey Logano thought Harvick had the best car. Harvick had really good speed over his opening long run. He’s fast on older tires. Had the best 15 lap average 45 minutes into practice. His NBC average speed at the end of practice ranked as the 3rd best.

Clint Bowyer – 45 minutes into practice while he was 8th his crew chief said, “Your lap times are awesome so far, dude.”

Joey Logano – Felt like his balance was close in practice #2. Ran a lot of laps this session and had good speed.

Kyle Busch – Had good long run speed. Started with a 22 lap run. 20 minutes into practice he had the best ten lap average. Had great speed running up against the wall. Had the 2nd best 15 lap average.

Austin Dillon – Early in practice he reported his car is much better. 20 minutes into practice while he was 19th he reported he was too free. 35 minutes into practice he reported his latest run was in a positive direction. During a late run he felt his car was tight.
