Atlanta NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Kyle Busch – Crashed into the wall ten minutes into practice. He’ll be going to a backup car and will start in the rear of the field. In DFS formats he’ll still be scored from his 6th place qualifying position. Prior to crashing he was 2nd on the speed chart and his ten lap average ranked as the best. Kyle Busch didn’t log any laps in his backup car.
Kevin Harvick – His team feels like they pinpointed the issue with his power steering system so that problem should be fixed. Early in practice his ten lap average ranked as the second best. Jeff Gordon still thinks he’ll be the driver to beat. Made a run that was almost 30 laps long. His 20 lap average ranked as the second best.
Brad Keselowski – He was sick today and Austin Cindric practiced his car for the first 50 minutes. An hour into practice he went out on the track and logged some practice laps.
Joey Logano – Jeff Gordon thought his car looked good over long runs in practice #1 on Friday. His car looked pretty good this session and had good speed. 30 minutes into the session he was 6th.
Erik Jones – 40 minutes into practice he lost power steering and a puff of smoke came from his car.
