Phoenix (ISM Raceway) NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Kevin Harvick – He doesn’t feel like he’s found his rhythm this weekend. Feels good about his car. Said he was fairly happy with his car the way it was.

Ryan Preece – Early in practice while he was 19th he was too tight in the center and chattering the nose of his car. Wasn’t happy with his car. It was tight in the turns. Adjustments didn’t change his balance. 35 minutes into practice while he was 27th he said, “I just want to be loose at this point.”

William Byron – Said he still has work to do but his team made improvements this session. He was parked for the final 15 minutes. When his session ended he was 14th on the speed chart.

Joey Logano – While he was at the top of the speed chart ten minutes into practice his crew chief said, “Have him come in, it’s all over the place.” He was the only driver who made a 30 lap run. Said his car has good short run speed. He thinks long runs might be a weakness for him.

Alex Bowman – Ten minutes into practice while he was 12th he said he was free on throttle. A few minutes later he said, “My speed is all front turn as we run.” 30 minutes into practice while hew as 13th he said he was super tight and his car needs to cut better.
