Daytona NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

NOTE: This practice session was cut short by lightning in the area.

Chevy – Early in practice all the Chevy teams practiced together.

Ford – They all worked together in a pack about 30 minutes into practice. Kyle Busch tagged along with their group.

Chase Elliott – He was the first driver who paced the Chevy pack. 25 minutes into practice he reported that he was happy with the handling of his car.

Joey Logano – He was one of the first drivers out on the track and he practiced by himself. During his single car run he reported that his car was scrapping the track just a little bit. Later he spent time in the Ford draft.

Alex Bowman – Following his early run in the Chevy pack he reported that his car is a little darty.

Ty Dillon – Following his opening run in the Chevy pack he said, “I feel pretty good, but we can wait to see how these tires work out as we run and go from there.” Said his car was really fast and he liked how his car was handling.
