Kyle Busch started in the rear of the field in a backup car. In practice he spun in turn 2 and damaged the back of his car.

Race Notes
Aric Almirola who won the pole selected to start in the low-line.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. who started in second led the opening lap.
On lap 2, Aric Almirola took the lead and he then led the next 36 laps (until the competition caution).
On lap 2, Kyle Larson was already driving at the top of the track.
Brad Keselowski’s car looked really good early. He was moving around the track and marching his way up through the running order. He started 18th and was in 8th at lap 8.
Kyle Larson’s car was said to be “Near perfect” running the high-groove early.
Running order around lap 30: 10,17,42,11,19
Jimmie Johnson started the race in 11th and he was back to 24th at lap 30. His car was extremely tight.

After getting the lead following the competition caution, Kyle Larson then led the next 50 laps.
Kevin Harvick’s car was very strong at running the bottom groove.
Erik Jones wasn’t that happy with his car midway through Stage #2.

During the Stage caution, Joey Logano was blocked in his pit stall for the second time of the day which cost him positions. This dropped him from 7th to 19th.
Notable Moment: During the Stage #1 caution, Aric Almirola who just finished 3rd was caught speeding on pit road.
Kevin Harvick took the lead during the restart for Stage #2 and he then led 19 laps.
Kurt Busch was happy with his long run speed it was mentioned early in Stage #2.
Ryan Blaney was running extremely well and around lap 100 he was running in 4th.
On lap 112, Kyle Larson retook the lead from Kevin Harvick. Larson then led the next 14 laps.
Notable Moment: During Green Flag Pit Stops around lap 130, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was caught speeding. He was running well in the top ten at the time.
