Daniel Hemric who started on the pole led the opening 4 laps.
On lap 9, Kyle Larson took solid command of the race and led the next 40 laps.
Notable Moment: On lap 9, Ryan Newman made an unexpected pit stop. He had contact with another car and had a little bit of damage on his right side. This dropped him two laps down into the thirties.
Notable Moment: Alex Bowman had contact with another car around lap 11 and got some aero damage. Bowman was running around 10th at the time.

Erik Jones really liked his car in traffic. He started in 20th and was in 4th around lap 30
Notable Moment: Joey Logano had a loose wheel and made an unexpected pit stop around lap 34. It dropped him two laps down into the thirties. It was shortly before a pit cycle so its impact was minimalized.

Big Moment: Ryan Newman got into the wall hard on lap 74 (6 laps to go in Stage #1). He was at the tail end of the lead lap at the time. This brought out a caution.
During the Newman caution near the end of the Stage, quite a few cars didn’t pit. Almost all the front runners prior to the caution came in.

Joey Gase spun on lap 116 after contact with Kyle Larson and brought out a caution. Jimmie Johnson got back on the lead lap at this time.

Denny Hamlin really liked his car. On lap 151 he was the leader. His car wasn’t quite as good as he wanted in traffic. It was comfortable for him.
Ryan Blaney’s car was said to be an experiment in this race. He was running against the wall running in 2nd on lap 151.
William Byron’s car was said to take off on the splitter but it got better over the course of a run. He was running in 5th on lap 153.
