Phoenix AdvoCare 500: Fantasy NASCAR “Front Runner” Rankings
Tony Stewart – Tony Stewart had a 6th through 12th place car in March. He started in 2nd and led 9 laps. He didn’t finish good though. His 22nd place result is highly deceiving. Under caution late in the race he shut off his car to conserve gas and couldn’t get it restarted. This cost [...]
AAA Texas 500: Fantasy NASCAR “Mid Pack” Projections
Paul Menard – Given the tier of driver Paul Menard is associated with he’s a good fantasy option for the AAA Texas 500. At 1.5 mile tracks this year he’s been solid. He’s coming off a 3rd place finish at Kansas and for the year he has a 13.7 average finish. That’s a better average [...]
Drivers to avoid for the Martinsville Tums Fast Relief 500
Kurt Busch – Kurt Busch won a Martinsville a decade ago but by no means is he a good pick. His average finish is 21.3 and he hasn’t finished in the top ten since 2005. In April Kurt Busch really struggled. He kept overheating his breaks and cooking the beads on his tires. To a [...]
Charlotte Bank Of America 500: Fantasy NASCAR “Mid Pack” Projections
Tony Stewart – The #14 team is a high risk option at Charlotte. 1.5 mile tracks have been their achilles heel this season. At Charlotte in May Tony Stewart really struggled. He finished three laps down in 25th. He has a couple more finishes like that at similar venues this season. At Chicagoland he showed [...]
Talladega Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500: Fantasy NASCAR “Front Runner” Rankings
Kasey Kahne – In the last two Talladega races Kahne has finishes of 6th and 4th. Kahne only has two other top tens at Dega and they were second place finishes in 2009 & 2006. Despite his shaky history I think Kahne is a good prospect for the Good Sam 500. He has momentum and [...]

Drivers To Avoid In The Dover AAA 400
Jamie McMurray – McMurray has been mediocre at Dover. In the last four Monster Mile races he’s finished between 13th and 20th. His last top ten finish at Dover was in 2008. While he was a member of Roush Fenway Racing he came close to victory lane and had a best finish of 2nd. The [...]

Drivers To Avoid in the New Hampshire Sylvania 300
Paul Menard – New Hampshire is arguably Paul Menard’s worst track. His average finish is 26.7 and he’s never finished in the top ten. There is some hope though. His last two NH finishes have been his best results. Last year in the Chase race he finished 20th and this July he finished 17th. I [...]
Drivers To Avoid In The Chicagoland Geico 400
Kurt Busch – Kurt Busch was one of the drivers to beat last season. He led the most laps (64) and had the best driver rating (124.5). He finished 5th and had a 6th place average running position. His finish last season was his 6th top ten in 11 Chicagoland races. Kurt Busch has been [...]
Richmond Federated Auto Parts 400: Fantasy NASCAR “Mid Pack” Projections
Greg Biffle – In the mid 2000′s Biffle was a good pick at Richmond, but he’s not anymore. Since 2007 he has zero top tens and a 19.6 average finish. Also in this time span he’s only led 6 laps and has a 20.6 average running position. If you’re in a allocation league I would [...]
Atlanta Advocare 500: Fantasy NASCAR “Mid Pack” Projections
Marcos Ambrose – Ambrose has sleeper potential at 1.5 mile tracks like Atlanta. His finishes on tracks of this length haven’t been the best this season but don’t be fooled. He can get the job done. At Texas he was poised to finish in the top ten but on the last lap he ran out [...]
Bristol Irwin Tools Night Race: Fantasy NASCAR “Mid Pack” Projections
Marcos Ambrose – Ambrose is a rough driver and when you combine that with a tougher Bristol things could go either way. Amborse isn’t exactly known for his giving and taking skills and that could be a problem. He hasn’t been around long so he’s never raced on the old single groove layout. I don’t [...]
