Martin to race through 2011

I know this is old news now but can you believe it, Mark Martin signed a contract extension! To me this is simply unbelievable. Did you know that his “Salute to you tour” began in 2005. Now he’s signed to race through 2011. I have no clue about what would happen to him after 2011. Will he retire then? Will he race part-time again?

If you ask me the real beneficiaries of this is the truck series guys. Remember when Martin originally retired at one time he wanted to race in the truck series. Martin wanted to race in the truck series because the schedule is less rigorous. It appears Martin is no longer intimated by it at all.

Here’s one of my favorite Mark Martin moments. No it’s not a victory, but he did say he was having the time of his life. He doesn’t say it in this video but I remember it vividly. I don’t just post crash videos just because I like them (I lie, I do). He did say it though.
