Chevy close to winning the 2009 manufacturer’s championship

The manufacturers’ championship isn’t the most sought after championship for NASCAR drivers, but it is for the car companies. At Kansas for a record 7th consecutive time Chevrolet will be able to claim the 2009 championship if a Chevy finishes ahead of a Toyota.  It will be Chevrolet’s 33rd title in 69 years of this competition which started in 1950.
