Turn 1 Region

In the Turn 1 Region Kurt Busch narrowly defeated Kyle Busch by finishing 8th, one spot better than his younger brother. Kurt Busch overcame a speeding penalty and damage to the right side of his car to advance to the Turn 1 finals. Denny Hamlin finished 4th at Talladega beating Carl Edwards to advance to the Turn 1 Finals.

Turn 2 Region

In the Turn 2 Region Mark Martin finished 5th and defeated Joey Logano who was involved in a wreck. At the bottom of the Turn 2 Bracket Martin Treux Jr. defeated AJ Allmendinger. Martin Treux Jr. who is a sixth seed is the highest active seed who is still in the competition.

Turn 3 Region

In  the Turn 3 Region Juan Pablo Montoya defeated #1 seed Jimmie Johnson. Montoya finished 3rd and Jimmie Johnson who was involved in a late wreck finished 31st. At the bottom of the bracket race winner Kevin Harvick defeated Greg Biffle.

Turn 4 Region

In the Turn 4 Region Kasey Kahne defeated underdog Bobby Labonte. Also in the Turn 4 Region Clint Bowyer advanced to  Region finals by defeating Scott Speed. The Turn 4 Finals will be a battle between two former Richmond winners.
